Our Church Home
Come with me as we visit our church on Sunday morning. The Christian Education program is going full steam. Sounds of children fill the Sunday school rooms. Rick is leading an adult class in a traditional Bible study. Down the hall, Charlie is leading another class on topical studies. Our choir director is leading rehearsal. The Spanish members of our congregation are having their worship service in the sanctuary from 9:15 to 10:30. Following church they will have a time of fellowship and then meet in the Library Conference room for Bible study. It is a busy place.
Upon entry the sanctuary for the English speaking service, you feel a sense of warmth created by the warm browns of the wood, gold color of the fabric; a sense of reverence when you experience the arched ceiling, chancel and you know that God is glorified here.
Worship service begins with joys and concerns followed by passing the Peace of Christ.
Meet our Pastor, Jen Fox. She has been with us since May 2003. Her smile and warmth radiate from the Pulpit and connect with the hearts of every member, young or old, in jeans or three-piece suits. Later in the service she will gently challenge, inspire and teach the Word.
You really will enjoy getting to know her. She will laugh with you in times of joy and console you in times of sorrow, a delightful blend of youth and wisdom. What a leader --Her first year here our stewardship drive set a modern record. She is both innovative and traditional but most of all committed to her Lord.
Following service come visit in the Lounge for our coffee hour. We want to make you feel at home and get to know you.
Stop by throughout the week. Perhaps you'll want to join our morning Bible/Book Study. We meet on the second Tuesday morning of each month at 10:30. Can't make that? Try the Wednesday evening Bible Study at 6:30. Both are led by Jen who will teach and motivate. Bring with you your prayer requests or one of your life's concerns to share with the group. Or maybe you will want to sit in on one of our Bell Choir rehearsals or our English as a second language class.
Check out our outreach programs to the community. On Wednesday the Deacons provide food through our Food Pantry and the Spanish ministry provides clothes through our clothes distribution center. These services provide needy families in our area with life's essentials – food and clothing.
We invite you to join us. Join us in our renaissance. Join us as we seek to serve the Lord.
